Crumbs: homemade guacamole

Nicole Hindberg | Argonaut

You don’t have to be at a party to enjoy some chips and guacamole. Here is an easy recipe so you can have some guacamole any time that you want.

Store bought guacamole can be great, but nothing beats a homemade version.

Cook time: 15 minutes

Serving size: 5-7

Ingredients:

  • 4 avocados
  • ½ red onion
  • 2 Roma tomatoes
  • 2 bell peppers (of your choice)
  • Garlic salt to taste
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • Tortilla chips

Does this recipe sound good? Here are some more delicious recipes from our staff. They’ve made chicken cordon bleu, tapenade, and four ingredient gluten-free cookies.

Directions:

  1. Pit the avocados and scoop into a bowl. Use the seed to help mash up the avocados.
  2. Chop the onions, tomatoes and peppers and put into the bowl.
  3. Remove the seed and mix in the chopped vegetables.
  4. Serve with chips and enjoy
