What’s happening at UI this week?

After a busy midterms and homecoming week, now is a great time for Vandal students to explore activities on campus and take some time to have fun with friends. Check out these exciting events and activities happening on campus this week! 

Tuesday Market 

This Tuesday is student day at the weekly Tuesday market happening from 4-7 p.m. at the Latah County Fairgrounds. A student band will be performing live music, and attendees can shop from local vendors and barbeque food will be available for purchase. 

Horror Film Screening 

UI’s JAMM department will be putting on another Wicked Wednesday this week at the Kenworthy Theater with the film “Shaun of the Dead”. The event goes from 7-9 p.m. and costs $8 for students to attend this 1992 spooky flick. 

Music from the Palouse 

This Thursday, the Auditorium Chamber Music Series will be presenting Music from the Palouse from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium. This concert will feature ensembles from some of the region’s best musicians and tickets can be purchased online

Africa Night 

Students and the community can celebrate African culture this Saturday with Africa Night happening from 5-7 p.m. in the Pitman Center International Ballroom. This annual event is held by the African Students Association and attendees will get to experience a taste of African food and hear students share the culture of their regions. Tickets cost $10 for students and $15 for all others and can be purchased online

Vandal Athletics 

Vandal women’s swim and dive will be competing on Friday against Northern Arizona starting at 4 p.m. in the Swim Center. 

Vandal women’s soccer will be playing against Northern Colorado this Friday at 6 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome. On Sunday, the Vandals will be playing Northern Arizona at 1 p.m. for senior night in the Kibbie Dome. 

On Saturday, Vandal Volleyball will be competing against Eastern Washington at 1 p.m. in Memorial Gym.
