The Kenworthy’s October calendar is lined up with many movies and events for and by the local community. There are horror and thriller showings in anticipation of Halloween, theater productions, live shows, and some lighthearted movies as well. Here’s an overview of the many types of things going on at the Kenworthy throughout October.

From Colleges

These events are from colleges and campus clubs, with some being free for UI and WSU students.

Palouse French Film Festival – Oct. 13, 20, 27, 2026 at 7 pm

From WSU and UI, the Palouse French Film Festival will show French-language films The Stranger on October 13, In His Own Image on October 20, and Colors of Time on October 27. Entry is free for WSU and UI students; tickets are $5 or $12 for a Festival Pass.

Events

There are more than just movies at the Kenworthy; there are live performances and music as well.

Moscow Community Theater: Nosferatu – Oct. 29-31, 2026 at 7:30 pm and Oct. 31, 2026 at 2 pm

The Moscow Community Theater will be performing Nosferatu by John Faust. A link to purchase tickets is on the Kenworthy website.

Overall, there are many movies and events to see at the Kenworthy this October but as for what the Kenworthy staff is looking forward to Ben Ramalingam, whose worked at the Kenworthy for eight years, says “October has a lot of good things: between Rocky Horror Picture Show, which we do every year, we’re ending with a live play of Nosferatu I’m excited for that. But this year’s been our 100th year, and we’ve been doing centennial movies each month, and I am looking forward to Little Miss Sunshine; that one’s going to be a lot of fun.”
