UI ranked top 30 in national public schools in value

The U.S. News and World Report’s 2027 Best Colleges placed, the University of Idaho as one of top 30 best value public universities in the nation. This ranking considers both academic quality as well as cost, and the net cost of attendance for students receiving needs-based scholarships or grants.  

UI received #23 in best value schools nationwide, #66 in best value for in-state students, and #110 in top public schools. Students on average at the UI receive an average of $10,400 in merit scholarships annually, as well as donors who provide extra financial support, according to a UI press release.  

In the UI press release, President Scott Green said, “This ranking reflects what we work hard to deliver every day: an exceptional education that remains within reach for students and families.”
