What’s happening at UI this week?

Dead week and finals can be one of the most stressful times of the year, so make sure you find a healthy balance of work and relaxing this week so that you don’t get overwhelmed. There are many de-stress activities happening on campus this week so take some time to give yourself a break before finals hit. Good luck this week Vandals and congratulations to all 2023 Fall Graduates! 

Therapy Dogs 

What better way to de-stress than with some 4-legged friends! Therapy dogs will be on campus this week on Monday from 4 – 6 p.m. in the IRIC Atrium, and again on Friday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Library room 101. Make sure to stop by and say hi! 

Yoga on Campus 

Moving your body is also a great way to de-stress, and there are several opportunities on campus this week. On Wednesday there will be Laughter Yoga from noon – 12:30 p.m. in the SRC room 103. On Thursday students can join Recovery Yoga from 6:30-7:20 p.m. in SRC West. 
 

Finals Study Tips 

Students can join Academic Coaching on Tuesday from 3 – 5 p.m. for “Fast Study Tips for Finals” in the Library room 132. There will be coaches available to help teach new study techniques, make a plan for finals studying and answer any studying related questions. 

Jazz Choirs Concert 

On Thursday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the ICCU Arena, UIdaho Jazz Choirs will be joined by hundreds of local high school musicians for the annual Holiday Jazz Choirs Concert. This event is a lively holiday community tradition, and it is free to attend for students and the public. 
 

Vandal Athletics 

Vandal’s Men’s Basketball will be competing against the University of the Pacific this Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the ICCU Arena. 

After a thrilling victory on Saturday, Vandal Football will be playing another playoff game this Saturday against the University of Albany starting at 7 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome.
