The start of a new month brings a fresh start and new opportunities to connect and have fun at the University of Idaho. Check out these exciting events and activities happening in Moscow this week! 

Women’s History Month 

Wednesday marks the first day of Women’s History Month, and UI is celebrating with the Brave and Bold Women in UI History presentation from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Attendees can come to the second floor of the University of Idaho Library to hear from several impactful speakers on the history of Women at UI. Speakers include Women’s Center director Lysa Salsbury, Chief Diversity Office Yolanda Bisbee and History department Chair Rebecca Scofield.  

Another way to celebrate Women’s History Month, Luna Fest, is alsoon Wednesday. This celebration of short films by women filmmakers is happening at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center, with a reception starting at 5:30 p.m. and show starting at 6:15 p.m. The event is free for students and is $15 for all others, and registration is online

Support UI Theater 

The UI Theater Arts Department’s hilarious and heart-warming comedy, “The Imaginary Invalid” is opening on Friday and will have shows all weekend. On Friday and Saturday the show will be from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. and will play from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday. The cost is free for students and $8 – $20 for others, tickets can be purchased online

Cruise The World 

This Sunday, the Moscow community can enjoy a cultural experience unlike any other with Cruise the World. Over 20 countries will be represented in this interactive event happening from noon – 4 p.m. in the Pitman International Ballroom. Attendance is free and food will be available for purchase with cash only. 

Vandal Athletics 

Women’s Tennis will be competing against Eastern Washington University on Wednesday starting at 3 p.m. at the Kibbie Dome. 

Vandal Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be competing at the Big Sky Tournament from Saturday to Wednesday this week, the games can be watched on ESPN+.
