What’s happening at UI this week?

After what was hopefully a relaxing and restful three-day weekend, Vandal students have lots of great opportunities to have fun with friends and get back in the swing of things this week. The Moscow community can check out these exciting activities and events happening at the University of Idaho this week. 

Coffee with Cops 

The UI criminology department is hosting Coffee with the Cops this Tuesday from noon-2 p.m. in the ISUB ASUI Vandal Lounge. Students can come enjoy free coffee and hot chocolate while having a chance to meet officers from the Moscow Police Department and ask any questions they have about local law enforcement.  

Elevated Black Voices 

On Tuesday, ASUI and the Black African American Cultural Center are sponsoring the Elevated Black Voices event from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Pitman Center room 040A. A diverse panel of students, staff and faculty will be sharing their experiences living and working on the UI campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in hard conversations in this judgement free space.  

Winter Social 

On Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., ASUI will be hosting their Winter Social on the second floor of the ISUB. Attendees can enjoy free food, live music, games and information about how to get more involved on campus. 

Game Night 

This Friday, the LGBTQA Office is hosting their monthly LGBTQA Family Game Night in the ISUB ASUI Vandal Lounge from 5-6 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend this fun board game and video game night which provides a great opportunity to meet new friends and connect with the LGBTQA community. 

Celebrate Latinx Culture 

The Moviemiento Activista Social is hosting thier El Color de Nuestra Tierra event this Saturday from 6-8 p.m. in the Pitman Center International Ballroom. This annual event celebrates Latinx culture through song, dance, art, poetry and food. The theme this year is Normas de Genero (Gender roles). Attendance is limited, so anyone interested must register online

Vandal Athletics 

Vandal Women’s Basketball will be competing against Idaho State University starting at 6 p.m. in the ICCU Arena. They will also be playing Weber State University this Saturday starting at 7 p.m. in the ICCU Arena.
