In a week such as this, community is more important than ever and it’s important to find support from those around you. Here are some resources and events happening this week that are available to University of Idaho students and the Moscow Community.

Drop-in Counseling

For anyone in need of counseling or time to talk with someone there is free drop-in counseling happening all week.

On Wednesday in the ISUB fourth floor Panorama room, counselors will be available from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

There is also support available from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. every weekday in the Counseling and Testing Center located on the third floor of Mary Forney Hall. If students need to speak with someone outside of office hours, they can call the help line: 208-885-6716 to speak with a counselor.

Vandal Athletics

Men’s Basketball will be playing Cal-State Bakersfield at 6 p.m. in the ICCU Arena on Wednesday.

On Thursday Vandal Volleyball is playing against Northern Arizona University at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Gym.

Admission to both games will be free for everyone in hopes of bringing together the community and there will be a moment of silence in honor of the four victims before the national anthem.

Event Cancellation

Students should keep in mind that many previously scheduled events and activities have been cancelled or postponed due to recent events, so they should double check before attending a previously scheduled event. The weekly ASUI Senate meeting has been canceled and students should continually check emails for information about possible class and event cancellations.
