What are you looking forward to this fall semester?

Social network

This year, I am looking forward to a return to fully in-person classes, as well as an increase of extracurricular and community activities both on campus and in Moscow. I am looking forward to more in-person opportunities within my major to interview sources, attend live events for quicker coverage and have more access to guest speakers and my coworkers within the newsroom for a more collaborative news year!

Back to basics

I’m excited to return to the dorms and slap my decorations back on the walls. Moving back and forth from Moscow to Boise, I’ve dedicated my dorm room for my full décor. From the mountain tapestry I ordered off Amazon to my led lights that all the TikTokers have now, I’m ready to fully express the true me.

Focused senior

I’m a senior this year, so most of my generals are out of the way. I’m excited to get into classes that are more pertinent to my major and hopefully have a much more exciting year. I’m looking forward to my new jobs for student media and feeling the anticipation of graduation getting closer and closer.

Late night snacking

This fall semester, I’m looking forward to prowling the streets for food trucks. I can’t wait till midnight rolls around and the cravings set in for some cheese and carbohydrates — best served in the state of post-classwork delirium.

A light in the distance

After nearly two years of struggling through a pandemic, I see hope. Some people might despair when they look at the rising number of positive COVID-19 cases in our community, and I feel that too, but this semester I see more hope than I have in a long time. Hope that life can be better than it has been, that people will be able to do more, people will be able to see each other. I’m most excited to have hope for the better this semester.
