After a historic run, Moscow’s DIY music venue closed its doors with some final performances.

Originally in the 90’s, the house hosted environmental activists. Passing through a variety of owners through the years, it became a part of Moscow’s music scene around 2012.

Ever since 2017 when they moved in, Gabe Smith and Brynn Givans have been at the heart of running the venue.

According to a post on The Bayou’s Instagram, the pair are now moving out, and for now, the venue remains closed. Before leaving, they hosted two more nights of the final shows.

It had been over a year since the venue’s last show due to the pandemic. Vaccines now at play, attendees were allowed in with verification.

During the final two nights, The Bayou hosted the local Itchy Kitten, Monopines and Mother Yeti along with more bands.
