Latah County confirmed the first case of COVID-19 April 1, according to North Central Health District (PH-INCD).
The case is an individual in their 60s who was not hospitalized and is recovering at home. The case appears to be travel related.

The investigation into the new case is in the preliminary stages, according to a press release from PH-INCD. Epidemiologists are working to determine locations visited by the individual and are investigating any close contacts.
There are now 12 cases of COVID-19 in north central Idaho.
