Here’s a round-up of events from a variety of places in town. From fundraisers, cooking demos to concerts at some coffee shops in Moscow, this week won’t disappoint you. 

Humane Society of the Palouse Soup and Pie Fundraiser | Courtesy

Humane Society of the Palouse Soup and Pie Fundraiser | Monday

  • Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Date: Monday
  • Place: 1912 Center
  • Price: $10

Did you know that the Humane Society of the Palouse needs to raise $80,000 a year to continue to help animals? Soup and Pie is a wonderful fundraiser to support homeless animals and a much larger cause. Tickets are available at the door or can pre-bought online. For $10, enjoy warm soup in cold February, a slice of pie and support for a well-needed cause on the Palouse. 

Vandalizing the Kitchen | Wednesday

  • Time: 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
  • Date: Wednesday
  • Place: Student Recreation Center 103
  • Price: Free

As college students, learning how to make a variety of nutritious meals can be challenging. This week Vandalizing the Kitchen will be teaching students how to cook quick breakfast meals. These demonstrations are free, fun and there are tasty samples given at the end. All skill levels are encouraged to come and learn how to cook on a budget.

Marvel Trivia Night | Thursday

  • Time: 8 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Date: Thursday
  • Place: Zeppoz, 790 Bishop Blvd Pullman, WA
  • Price: Free

Who is ready to test their knowledge of Marvel movies? Marvel Trivia Night brings superheroes, villains and their stories to life. Trivia consists of four different categories: heroes, villains, powers and weapons. A prize will be given to teams with the best name, winning teams of each rounds and winning teams for the night.

Open Mic Night at One World Cafe | Friday

  • Time: 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • One World Cafe
  • Price: Free

Witness special talents people of the Palouse have this Friday at One World Cafe. Whether you want to watch people’s talents or you have a skill of your own, Open Mic Night will be a great way to end the week. All ages are welcome to come to this event and there is a set for everyone to enjoy.

  • Time: 8 p.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: Free

End Saturday with great music and a live show. Piper and the Moths are first-time performers, making this a great opportunity to support new musicians. One World’s ambiance always makes live performances special. Come and relax with a drink and enjoy a great show.
