Money talks — Best Super Bowl commercials in the past four years

Wonderful Pistachios – 2013

This nut company has had big stars showcase their product, including the Harlem Globetrotters and the Winklevoss twins. But for Super Bowl 2013, they got pop artist PSY to crack his pistachios, Gangnam Style. Now that’s an endorsement.

Go Daddy – 2013

Go Daddy’s controversial commercial had the most frequently employed extra in Hollywood, whose credits include “The Social Network” and “Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” get lucky with supermodel Bar Rafaeli on one of the most watched programs in history. Whether or not you agree with the campaign, you have to admit it was memorable.

Bud Light – 2014

Bud Light is the perfect beer for whatever happens, so why not show a guy going from drinking Bud Light in a bar, to playing against Arnold Schwarzeneggar at ping pong, to meeting Don Cheadle with a goat in an elevator, to partying with One Republic? With a commercial like that, you can’t go wrong.

Jaguar – 2014

All the best British villains, including Ben Kingsley, Tom Hiddleston and Mark Strong, showed up to promote the latest Jaguar model. In recent commercials, Nicholas Hoult turns up to showcase the car. It was a clever way to show sometimes, it pays to be bad.

M&Ms – 2013

This ad featuring “Glee” star Naya Rivera was such a hit, it is still rebroadcasted to this day. M&Ms will do anything for love — except be eaten.

Volkswagen – 2011

Featuring a child dressed as Darth Vader, this Super Bowl ad was so endearing it became the most shared ad of all time. Even more amazing was the fact that the child in the commercial had never seen “Star Wars.”

Wonderful Pistachios – 2014

Last year, Stephen Colbert got in on the cracking action, claiming his image alone was enough to sell the product. Thirty seconds later, he returned to compensate for his last commercial by over branding the pistachios. Even America makes mistakes.

Doritos – 2014

This commercial won Doritos’ “Crash the Super Bowl” contest, and it’s easy to see why. With a time machine running solely on Doritos and one gullible man, it’s just plain funny.
