Looking for something other than chips, dip and chili for your Super Bowl experience? This meatball sub recipe tastes great and doesn’t break the bank and will leave your party guests wanting more.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper
  • Spaghetti sauce
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella
  • Hoagie rolls

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. Cover baking sheet with aluminum foil
  3. Lay hoagies on a baking sheet
  4. Cook for five minutes until crunchy
  5. Combine ground beef, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, bread crumbs and salt and pepper in a medium sized bowl
  6. Mix together with hands until evenly distributed
  7. Roll into one inch balls and place evenly across baking sheet
  8. Cook for 10 minutes, turn and cook for 10 – 15 minutes until cooked through
  9. Place four meatballs into each hoagie roll
  10. Cover with spaghetti sauce and mozzarella
  11. Bake for five minutes, until cheese is melted
  12. Serve warm
