Off the cuff — Quick takes on life from our Editors

Real life
Twenty newspapers and one magazine are about to know who I am. Hopefully my packets don’t get lost in the mail — and they are impressed.

The last month and a half was basically torture for my sports life. Thank goodness my boys in the Rave Green are back on the pitch and ready to conquer 2013.
Werewolves of London.
Shopping mood
I’ve wanted to go clothes shopping for weeks but haven’t found a spare hour to do so. OK, let’s be real — a spare three hours is what I’m really looking for.
Andrea, for the final time
“A doctor once told me I feel too much. I said, so does God. That’s why you can see the Grand Canyon from the moon.”
The dream of the ‘90s is alive and well this weekend. I cannot wait.
Seeing color
I love it when an interview with an incredible person starts to change my own life. Get excited for the color issue of Blot on March 4.
Doin’ work
There were 2,500 hits on Vandal Nation yesterday. Thanks to all who followed the absolute best coverage of Idaho signing day.
Sick and tired
I got the flu right after a week-long nasty cold and my car broke down. I think I will relax to the max this weekend.
National Signing Day
The only day of the year where it’s acceptable for 50 –year-old men to get excited about 17- and 18-year-old boys.
‘Friends in Low Places’
It has got to be the most catchy song ever to country swing dance to. Try it sometime.
Speak your silence
One in four women and one in six men are sexually abused before they turn 18. Most never talk about it. All it takes is one conversation to help conquer the stigma. Don’t be afraid to spark one, or encourage a friend or family member to speak their silence. To learn more, visit speakyoursilence.org
Hey Elizabeth Rudd
Stop working so much and hang out with me like you said you were going to. Also I doubt you will read this. Oh, and text me back.
