Idaho Dem. Governor Candidate Terri Pickens said the denial of an injunction the frivolous
lawsuit against Proposition One foils a plan by professional operatives to stoke opposition to
freedom in Idaho.
“I encourage everyone who cares about freedom and keeping the government out of our
personal lives and our doctor’s offices to vote YES on Proposition One,” Pickens said.
Pickens called the lawsuit a tactic to distract voters and smear the important campaign to roll
back the cruelest anti-abortion laws in the U.S.
The lawsuit, brought by a group called Idaho Family Policy Center, alleged that Pickens and
others had broken campaign laws regarding TV advertising. However, the US Supreme Court
had ruled in June that such financing was legal–ironically, in a case brought by J.D. Vance and
the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
