The Golf n’ Gov initiative combines two fields, golf and networking, in order to teach students the basics of golf paired with practical skills that can be translated into their professional careers. Taught by students in the PGA program, “Golf n’ Gov” is an opportunity for students to learn the technical aspects of how to play golf with great, individualized advice to each participant to help them grow their skills and confidence. Additionally, the program presents valuable experience which students may later integrate into their professional development through career networking with golfers in their respective industries.

Originally intended for students interested in government and politics, the program is open to students of all fields and interests. The program welcomes students with varying levels of experience in golf. Interested students aren’t required to bring a club as they will be provided with one during practice, though, they can bring equipment if they already have it.

With reduced daylight, the program’s last day is scheduled to be on Monday, Nov. 9. Golf n’ Gov is open to all wishing to join and takes place at 5 p.m. every Monday at the Vandal Golf Course.
