The Latah County Prosectors office, Moscow Police and Idaho State Police released a statement on Tuesday, Sept. 15 that unredacted photos of the crime scene at 1122 King Road may have been leaked to the public from an unknown source.
In the statement, they said: “Providing sensitive unredacted crime scene material for public dissemination is an unwarranted invasion of the victims’ privacy and demonstrates a profound lack of integrity and professionalism. Those entrusted with access to such material must safeguard it and violating that trust and any professional and ethical duties required by such position of trust, is unconscionable.”
Earlier this year, Idaho Governor Brad Little signed Senate Bill 1250, a bill that prevents photos from death investigations from being publicly released and is now in effect having started on July 1, making this leak illegal under state law.
