Through the end of February and early March, audiences came to the Forge Theatre to take in the musical put on by the UI Theatre Department.

Starting with the death of the main characters is hardly where most musicals start, but Ride the Cyclone offers a unique and entertaining story following the Saint Cassian Chamber Choir after their tragic death from The Cyclone rollercoaster.

The choir is offered a second chance at life by The Amazing Karnak, a mechanical fortune teller who can predict the exact time and place of a person’s death. But the catch is only one of them is able to come back to life. Each of the choir members must tell their story and prove they should be the one person allowed to come back to life.

Ride the Cyclone delivers a wide variety of music from rap, pop, ballads and everything in between. Tossing the viewer between comedy and sorrow, “Ride the Cyclone” keeps the audience at the edge of their seat.
