On Feb. 25, 2026, ASUI will be hosting the Winter Social from 5-8 p.m. in the Idaho Student Union Building.

The Winter Social is an annual event that is similar to Palousafest. It is a cozy and casual event that features indoor games, prizes, snacks and a way to connect and learn about other clubs on campus.

This year’s prizes that students have a chance at winning include a 32” TV and a Fire Stick, five $50 Vandal Store gift cards, a JBL speaker, a nugget ice maker, a mini fridge and Beats headphones.

Students can win prizes by filling out raffle tickets that will be handed out and entering them in different giveaways. At the end of the night, winners will be drawn. You will need to be present to claim your prize.

The activities that will be available at the event include a photo booth, a mechanical bull, various games, a live DJ and other campus resources, including clubs. There will be around 35 various clubs there, available to talk to and giving out information.

This is the fourth year the Winter Social has run, with between 700 and 800 people showing up to last year’s event.

Planning the Winter Social starts months in advance, with lots of preparation and communication that is needed to make sure the event runs smoothly. ASUI divides into different committees to brainstorm and starts planning specific portions of the event. The event is free to attend, and students can drop in at any time.
