Cami Cvitkovich is having a record-breaking sophomore season for the Idaho Vandals track and field team. Coming into the final remaining weeks of the 2025-2026 season, Cvitkovich has been lighting up the rankings in every meet she attends. As of right now in the high jumps, Cvitkovich has won first place in the past four meets, while also recording the second highest jump in school history, becoming one of the Vandals’ most important and dominant performers for the team.
Cvitkovich’s high school career was nothing but unprecedented. While living in Eden, Utah, she attended Weber High school and destroyed the state record books. During her high school career, she broke Utah’s state high jump record with a 1.71-meter jump.
She was a two-time Utah champion in the high jump. After graduating from Weber High School, she decided to venture out of state and commit to the University of Idaho and compete with their track and field team.
While she attended her first year, she immediately shook the league. In just her first meet at the 2025 Spokane Sports Showcase, she achieved a college PR with a 1.72-meter jump. She continued to dominate throughout the season by placing fifth or higher in every single meet she attended. She finished the 2025 season by finishing fourth in the high jumps in the 2025 Big Sky Conference Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Championship.
Now coming into her sophomore season, Cvitkovich continues to be a threat to any opponent she faces. In the beginning of the season, at the Lauren McCluskey Memorial meet held in the Kibbie Dome, Cvitkovich began to make history. Preparing for this meet, Cvitkovich knew that this was her time to shine. As she lined up for her final attempts, the pressure of the moment didn’t shake her confidence.
Instead, she rose above it, clearing the bar at 1.75 meters and moving into second place on Idaho’s all-time indoor high jump list, just 0.02 meters from first. Her jump also put her inside the top 65 for the entire NCAA.
The Lauren McCluskey Memorial meet was just the tip of the iceberg for Cvitkovich as she went on and won gold in her next three meets. In her next meet at the Inland Northwest Invitational held in Spokane,Washington, Cvitkovich took first easily with a 1.67-meter jump. At the Idaho Team Challenge meet, again at the Kibbie Dome, home field advantage prevailed once again as she took gold for the third time in a row with a 1.67-meter jump.

Most recently, she attended one of the most prestigious meets in the Pacific Northwest Idaho has participated in, the Husky Classic, held in Seattle. With all the crowd, teammates and opponents watching, Cvitkovich produced her best performance of the year so far.
While soaring through the sky like an eagle, Cvitkovich was able to beat her personal record and score a 1.76-meter jump, inching closer to beating Idaho’s women’s high jump record, which has stood since 1990.
If she continues, Cvitkovich’s sophomore season could end up being one of the most memorable in recent Idaho track and field history. With conference championships approaching, she has positioned herself as a serious title contender and a reliable asset for the Vandals. Each meet has shown more confidence, more height, and more consistency, and the school record is now closer in reach than it has ever been before.
If she continues on this trajectory, Cvitkovich won’t just be winning meets, she’ll be rewriting the university’s record book and establishing herself as one of the top high jumpers in the Big Sky.
