Campus Currents | Riley Helal

Happy Monday, Vandals! It’s midterms week, which can be a stressful time for everyone, but here are some fun events you can attend to break up the weight of studying and testing all week.

Renfrew Colloquium (Tuesday, Oct. 14)

Head over to the University of Idaho Library from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for the weekly Renfrew Colloquium. This week’s topic is “Perpetual Prisoners: The Postwar lives and Hitler’s Political Enemies.” History professor Alex Ruble will be the speaker. This event is free and open to everyone.

Learn @ the MILL (Tuesday, Oct. 14)

Part of a weekly creativity event, the MILL will be teaching attendees how to use their 3D pens to create fun and unique 2D and 3D designs. This event will be in the UI Library from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and is open to all.

Palouse French Film Festival (Tuesday, Oct. 14)

This is a weekly event happening every Tuesday in October. Screenings for the films begin at 7 p.m. at the Kenworthy Theater. Admission is free for students, and it’s $5 per film, or $12 for a festival pass for general admission. This week’s film will be “The Count of Monte-Cristo.”

Therapy Dogs (Thursday, Oct. 16)

Head over to the UI Library from 10 a.m.-noon to relax and unwind with some cute and cuddly furry friends. Drop in at any time to de-stress from midterms and play with the dogs from Palouse Paws. This event is free and open to all.

Pumpkin Carving Party (Thursday, Oct. 16)

Join ASUI at the Vandal Lounge in the ISUB from 3-5 p.m. for some fun pumpkin carving. Hosted by the International Programs Office and the Department of Student Involvement, this event is free and open to all, but the supplies are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so register to attend here
