Guest Artist Recital duo970 (Friday, Sept. 19)  

Come down to the Haddock Performance Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 19 to watch duo970, a collaboration between James Hall and Susie Maddocks. The pair’s chemistry and virtuosity ensure two hours of lively classical music. Admission is free to all.  

Faculty Chamber Recital (Tuesday, Sept. 23) 

Come see the University of Idaho faculty play at 7:30 p.m. at Haddock Hall. They’re the best of the best — and it’s free admission! 

Auditorium Chamber Music Series Masterclass with Lyyra (Thursday, Sept. 25) 

From 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. in the Administration Building Auditorium, the all-new, all-American and all-woman vocal ensemble Lyyra is offering a free masterclass through the Auditorium Chamber Music Series. This marks the start of the 40th season of ACMS bringing world-class musicians like Lyyra to the Administration Auditorium to engage with students and the UI community.  

Convocation 1 (Thursday, Sept. 25) 

Select Lionel Hampton School of Music students and ensembles will play at the Haddock Performance Hall from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Free admission and open to the public.  

Auditorium Chamber Music Series – Lyyra (Thursday, Sept. 25) 

Lyyra will perform at 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Sept. 25. The all-star group of female vocalists promises to showcase the full spectrum of women’s vocal artistry across classical, jazz, pop and folk. Tickets are $25 for general admission, $20 for seniors 60+, $10 for UI students and free for youth 12 and under, with purchase of one adult ticket. Tickets can be purchased at uitickets.com or at the door.  

Lionel Hampton School of Music at the Kenworthy Silent Film Festival (Sunday, Sept. 28) 

At 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., scores composed by LHSOM members Isabel Martin, Mallory Hunt and Samuel Cooper will play to accompany shorts directed by Nell Shipman at the Kenworthy Theatre. A silent film festival pass is $40 for all events, Thursday-Sunday.  

Faculty Recital Will St. Peter and Kate Skinner (Monday, Sept. 29) 

Accomplished Moscow jazz guitarist Will St. Peter and UI assistant professor of jazz piano Kate Skinner will play at Haddock Hall from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Free admission and open to the public.  

Orchestra Concert (Tuesday, Sept. 30) 

The Administration Auditorium will house the UI Symphony Orchestra. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and run until 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, seniors and children 12 and under or $12 for general admission. Tickets can be purchased at uitickets.com or at the door.
