Refill, Reclaim (Sept. 16)

Head to the ISUB Plaza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and get a free reusable water bottle from the SSC. All water bottles have been collected from campus lost-and-found and are unclaimed items.

Aqua Fest (Sept. 17)

A great opportunity for learning more about the SSC and related programs, this event will be on the ISUB green from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Community organizations, student clubs and more will be present. There will be free resources, prizes and more!

Testing Paradise Creek (Sept. 18)

Learn how to do water quality testing and gain some hands-on experience. This workshop is led by IWRRI water professionals and will be happening from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Paradise Creek behind the UI Steam Plant. Participants will learn how to test water pH, O2, temperature and how to analyze microorganisms.

Protecting Paradise (Sept. 19)

Join the SSC for a volunteering opportunity to help protect Paradise Creek. Participants will help the SSC document and put up “No Dumping” signs on storm drains across campus. Meet at the ISUB Plaza at noon to collect the materials and begin your volunteer hours! This event will run until 4 p.m.
