University of Idaho student Tyson Randall, a senior music education major from Richland, Washington, died on Sept. 3 in his Moscow apartment.
According to an obituary on the Sunset Gardens website, Randall was “immensely excited to work in a field where he could share his love with children in low-income schools across the U.S. Music was his talent, life, passion and purpose.”
“We are all better because we know Tyson,” the obituary said.
Sunset Gardens will host two viewings, on Friday, Sept. 12, from 5-7 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 13, starting at 11:30 a.m. Services will begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. Viewing and services are located at 895 Gage Blvd., Richland, Washington.
“We grieve Tyson’s passing as a Vandal Family and extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends who are most affected by his loss,” Dean of Students Blaine Eckles wrote in an email announcement.
Eckles added that if anyone needs support through this time, the Counseling and Mental Health Center is available at 208-885-6716 and is located on the third floor of Mary Forney Hall.
