Campus Currents: 2/10-2/16

What’s happening at UI this week?

Campus Currents | Riley Helal

It’s the week of Valentine’s Day, so there are some fun events happening on campus this week. Put yourself out there and try to make a spot in your schedule for some recreation. Dedicating time to school is very important but so is having fun!

Networking Night (Tuesday, Feb. 11)

CLASS, CBE, Art/Architecture, Engineering and Natural Resources are all hosting their spring networking nights at 5:30 p.m. at various locations on campus. It’s a great opportunity to put yourself out there to prospective employers and see what some of your options for jobs and internships are!

Therapy dogs & condom Valentines (Wednesday, Feb. 12)

Head over to the UI Library anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to de-stress and unwind with some furry friends from Palouse Paws. You can also make or take some fun valentine or palentines (with or without condoms) to help acknowledge and celebrate Sexual Responsibility week!

Spring Career Fair (Wednesday, Feb. 12)

All majors, degrees and years are welcome to participate in the biannual Career Fair in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome, beginning at 1:30 p.m., to meet and speak with tons of businesses looking for prospective students for internships, jobs and more! The dress code is business casual and the event is a great opportunity to see what’s out there.

Bouquet for your Boo (Thursday, Feb. 13)

Join Vandal Entertainment in the International Ballroom of the Pitman Center to make free bouquets for your special someone, a friend or yourself! This event runs from 7-9 p.m. and is a great way to express your creativity through bouquet-making along with making your loved one a nice gift.
