“Dune: Part Two”, released in theaters on March 1, is an action-packed adventure that keeps viewers on the edge of their seat for the whole 2 hours and 46 minutes. Timothee Chalamet, who plays Paul Atreides, and Zendaya who plays Chani, continued to shine throughout the movie expanding on the amazing character development from Dune: Part One, with additions to the cast such as, Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen and Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan. Familiar characters returning from Part One include: Rebecca Fergenson as Lady Jessica, Javier Bargem as Stilgar and Stellan Skarsgard as Baron Vlardimir Harkonnen.

From start to finish, this movie keeps the audience engaged and excited ready for the next scene and what’s to come. Chalamet shines as he takes on the role of Paul, continuing the tale of survival and justice from the first movie. But the real star of this film wasn’t the acting, but the insane camera work and intense score that elevate the show to the next level. Viewers are immersed in the intense realism of the planet, and the battle scenes that make you feel like you are there watching in person. The directors and cameramen are the real stars in this film, and viewers will feel as if they themselves are part of the rich world of Arrakis.

I cannot write a review on this movie unless I mention Pugh’s amazing acting throughout this film, as well as her gorgeous costumes, especially her headdresses that she wears throughout the movie. This takes Pugh’s character as Princess Irulan to a whole new level, giving her the power and royalty that she is meant to portray.

But this movie isn’t all gorgeous camera work and costumes. Viewers are taken on a sometimes-violent journey throughout the Dune universe, and this is a thrill ride that Sci-fi and action fans alike won’t want to miss.
