Crumbs: Creamy Chicken Pesto Pasta

This is the perfect recipe for pasta lovers! It’s easy to make and the flavor is unmatched. It’s super creamy and the mix of flavors from the pesto and the garlic makes for a scrumptious sauce! This recipe is so simple that everyone can make it and enjoy an amazing meal.  

Ingredients: 

  • 1 ½ cups of noodles (your preference) 
  • 1 ¼ cups heavy cream 
  • ½ cup basil pesto 
  • 1 ½ cups chopped or shredded chicken breast or tenders 
  • ⅓ cup grated parmesan cheese 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • Garlic and onion powder to taste 
  • ½ head of garlic  

Directions: 

  1. Boil your noodles to al dente (time for this varies based on noodle type, so check the package). 
  1. While the noodles are boiling, chop or shred the chicken and mince ½ a head of garlic. 
  1. Put all the chicken in a pot with oil, season it to taste with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. 
  1. Cook the chicken until all sides are slightly brown and the internal temperature is at 165 degrees Fahrenheit. 
  1. When fully cooked, put the chicken and noodles aside. 
  1. Drizzle some oil in a pan and roast the minced garlic until slightly browned. 
  1. Add in 1 ¼ cups of heavy cream, ½ basil pesto, ⅓ cup parmesan, and the seasonings listed above to taste. 
  1. Cook on low heat until the cheese is melted and stir to ensure all ingredients are fully combined.  
  1. When the sauce is done, pour it over the noodles and chicken. 
  1. Mix and garnish with parmesan cheese.  
  1. Serve and enjoy!
