With the weather staying gloomy this week, brighten your spirits by participating in one of these fun on-campus activities and events! Spend time with friends and try something new this week in Moscow! 

Outdoor Program 

Learn to whitewater kayak this week on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the UI Swim Center. Attendees will learn how to outfit, paddle and wet exit a kayak. The cost is $40 for students and includes all equipment – if interested signups are in the Outdoor Program office, and registration is first come first serve. 

For anyone who wants to try rock climbing, the Climbing Center is hosting Free Rental Friday this week. Students can get free climbing rentals from noon-9 p.m. on Friday. 

Skate with a Mate 

This Friday from 5:15 – 7 p.m., Palouse Ice Rink is hosting Skate with a Mate! All UI students can show their Vandal card for free admission and rentals. For those who need a ride, there will be a bus pickup at 4:45 p.m. in front of the marketplace on sixth street. 

Mental Health First Aid 

On Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., students are invited to attend the Mental Health First Aid certification program. This is a comprehensive course to help attendees learn to understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses. Pre-registration is required, and the link to sign up can be found here. 

SArb Easter Egg Hunt 

Anyone with kids looking for a way to celebrate Easter can attend the SArb easter egg hunt happening this Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon on the Admin Lawn. Any children ages 0-12 years are welcome for this fun and festive holiday event.
