This homemade French fry recipe is so easy to do! If you’re craving some delicious crispy fries, look no further because this is the recipe for you. You’ll satisfy your craving in no time!

Ingredients:

  • Russet potatoes
  • Oil
  • Cornstarch
  • Flour
  • Salt

Directions:

  1. Slice the potatoes ½ inch thick with a serrated knife if possible (you can use a French fry cutter too).
  1. Soak them in cold water for at least an hour. The longer you soak them, the crispier they will be.
  1. Rinse them two times with cold water and pat completely dry.
  1. Mix equal parts cornstarch and flour in a bowl and add water. Mix until combined into a paste.
  1. Coat your potato slices in the cornstarch/flour paste.
  1. Heat oil to 300 degrees.
  1. Fry the potatoes for 5-6 minutes. Don’t place too many potato slices in at a time; they won’t fry properly if you do.
  1. Use a slotted spoon and place them on a paper towel when they’re done frying.
  1. Increase your oil heat to 400 degrees.
  1. Fry in batches until golden brown, which is for about 5 minutes.
  1. Place them on a paper towel and sprinkle immediately with salt.
  1. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
