What’s happening at UI this week?

As the days tick down before Thanksgiving break and the end of the semester, it can be easy to get overwhelmed by responsibilities. Take a break this week to do something fun and spend time with friends. Check out these events and activities happening on campus this week! 

Fall Flannel Fest 

This Thursday, Vandal Entertainment is hosting a Fall Flannel Fest from 6-8 p.m. in the Pitman Center International Ballroom. Students can put on some flannel and enjoy a night of music, food and fun. The band “Fox and Bones” will be performing, and the event is free to attend so don’t miss out! 

Musical Performances 

As part of the ACMS series, the Cavatina Duo will be performing from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in the Admin Auditorium. This groundbreaking flute and guitar duo makes for a thrilling experience, tickets range from free to $25 and can be purchased online

The University of Idaho Orchestra will be performing this Thursday from 7:30-9 p.m. on Thursday in the Admin Auditorium. The recital is free for UI students to attend. 

The UI Jazz Band and Jazz Choir will be performing on Friday from 6:30-9 p.m. in the Admin Auditorium. This fun evening of Jazz is free to attend. 

Diwali Night 

This Sunday, the Indian Students Association is hosting Diwali Night from 4-8 p.m. in the Pitman Center Vandal Ballroom. Attendees can enjoy Indian cultural performances and cuisine along with activities and prizes. Tickets can be purchased on the ISUB second floor and online. 

Vandal Athletics 

Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be opening their seasons this Monday. Women’s Basketball will be playing at 6 p.m. against Walla Walla University in the ICCU Arena. Men’s Basketball will be facing off against WSU at the Beasley Coliseum in Pullman starting at 8 p.m. 

Men’s Basketball will play again on Thursday at home in the ICCU Arena against CSUN at 6 p.m. 

Vandal Volleyball will be playing this Friday against Northern Colorado starting at 6 p.m. in the Memorial Gym.
