Last Thursday, Beta Theta Pi, a fraternity at the University of Idaho, hosted a food drive reflected in their slogan, “Help us scare away the hunger in our community!” The members of Beta Theta Pi put on a haunted house through their fraternity and dressed up as scary characters. The haunted house went all throughout, with different rooms decorated with famous horror movies and scenes. Admission cost three dollars per person or two cans or boxes of food. This was an effort to support the Vandal Food Pantry, especially with the holiday season approaching. Despite the weather, there was a constant line throughout the night to get in and after leaving the haunted house, supporters of the cause could enjoy hot cocoa by a fire.
