Only days after Shrek’s swamp became a rentable reality on Airbnb, University of Idaho’s Vandal Entertainment held a Shrek Rave last Thursday night for students looking to channel their inner ogre.
Amidst glowing green vines, a DJ booth, and a blow-up dragon, over 100 students visited the summit (4th floor of the ISUB) while dressed in various costumes depicting some of the movie’s quintessential characters. The three blind mice and multiple iterations of Fiona were all spotted in attendance.
Not only did a costume contest recognize those who went above and beyond with their Shrek attire, but a roar contest gave guests an opportunity to emulate the famous ogre himself. The winner of the event said she “unleashed all of [her] positive energy” as a way of achieving the loudest roar of the evening.
