There is so much happening this week for Vandal students to participate in! With everything from keynote speakers to chances to get creative to theater performances, check out these exciting events and activities happening in Moscow. 

AsiaPOP! 

Monday through Thursday this week, students will have the opportunity to experience screenings, exhibits and speakers that celebrate Asian culture during the AsiaPOP! series. Sponsored by the Habib Institute for Asian Studies, this weeklong series includes many speakers, including a keynote presentation by anime voice actor Anne Yatco on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the ISUB Horizon room. Take Back the Night 

On Wednesday, students can participate in this annual event which is part of the Katy Benoit Campus Safety Month. This year’s event will start at 7 p.m. in the Ag. Science building auditorium with a keynote speaker and will be followed by a candlelit march around campus at dusk. The first 100 attendees will get a free T-shirt. Get Crafty 

This Thursday, students can participate in this week’s ‘Make it at the Mill’ happening in library room 101 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Attendees can explore the mill resources and learn beginner calligraphy with fountain pens. 

This Friday there will be ‘Friday Crafternoon’ with the Women’s Center from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Memorial Gym room 109. Attendees can enjoy a free lunch and make friendship bracelets. This is a great opportunity to be creative and meet new people. 

Every Brilliant Thing 

This Saturday and Sunday there will be a free showing of the play “Every Brilliant Thing” in honor of World Suicide Awareness Week. The show features Craig Miller from the Theater Department and will be showing from 7 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are free for students and can be purchased here

Vandal Athletics 

Vandal Track and Field and Cross Country will be competing this Friday in the WSU Invitational happening at 2402 Cedar St., Colfax, starting at 4 p.m.
