What’s happening at UI this week?

UI students can take some time to de-stress and rest before finals with the many exciting events and activities happening on campus this week. Take advantage of the opportunities to spend time with friends and enjoy activities in Moscow before the end of the semester. 

Finals Fest 

For a night of great music, Vandal students can attend this free concert on Wednesday from 7-10 p.m. in the ICCU Arena. Country artist Chayce Beckham will headline the show alongside Americana rock band The Brevet. Tickets are free for students and can be claimed online

Get Crafty 

Seniors preparing to graduate can attend this week’s Make it at the MILL on Wednesday from noon – 4 p.m. for grad cap decorating. Upcoming grads can head to the MILL in the Library to add some character and bling to their UI graduation cap. 

This Friday, students can gather at the Women’s Center from noon – 2 p.m. for Friday Crafternoon. This is an opportunity to make fun crafts while enjoying a free lunch and meeting new friends. 

“Measure for Measure” 

Students and community members can enjoy a relevant show and support the UI Theater department with their performances of Shakespeare’s “Measure for Measure.” Shows will be happening Friday through Sunday April 28 – May 7 at various times. The show is free for UI students and $5-20 for the public. More information and the link to purchase tickets can be found here

Kino Film Fest 

This Friday, film enthusiasts can gather at the Kenworthy Theater from 6:30-9:30 p.m. to experience the 23rd annual Kino Film Fest. This free event will feature short films from local filmmakers and filmmakers from across the Pacific Northwest. After the viewings, question-and-answer sessions will give attendees the chance to learn more the film industry and the filmmaking process. Plant the Palouse 

Students can celebrate Earth Day and do their part to keep the Palouse beautiful and green this Saturday from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Plant the Palouse. Attendees will get the opportunity to plant native trees in the Palouse with groups of UI students. Registration and more information can be found online

Vandal Athletics 

Vandal Women’s Soccer will compete against Central Washington University starting at 4:30 p.m. this Saturday in the Kibbie Dome.
