What’s happening at UI this week?

As the weather gets warmer and the end of the semester draws near, there is a lot happening here at the University of Idaho. Students can check out these exciting events, activities and opportunities to spend time with friends this week in Moscow. 

Block Party 

This Wednesday, students can enjoy free activities, music and prizes at the Connecting U and I Block party on the SRC lawn. Students can drop by anytime from 4-7 p.m. to explore campus organizations and participate in lots of fun activities with friends. 

On-Campus Job Fair 

For students seeking work, there is an on-campus job fair happening this Wednesday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Clearwater-Whitewater room in the ISUB. UI departments will be recruiting student employees for the upcoming 2023/2024 school year. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about part-time jobs, work-study positions, internships and research opportunities from many different UI departments. 

Women’s Center Events 

This Friday at the Women’s Center, students can attend the monthly Lavender Lunch from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. in the Memorial Gym 109. Attendees can enjoy a free lunch and conversation with friends, as well as a great opportunity to meet new people. 

The Women’s Center will also be hosting Friday Crafternoon this Friday in the Memorial Gym 109 from noon- 2 p.m., where students can socialize with peers while creating a fun craft and enjoying a free lunch. 

Parent and Family Weekend 

Friday through Saturday, families and parents of UI students are welcomed to the Moscow campus by the Student Alumni Relations Board for Parent and Family Weekend. The whole weekend will be full of exciting events and activities for students and their families to enjoy, including walking tours and a cornhole tournament. Vandal Athletics 

Vandal Women’s Soccer will be competing this Saturday against Eastern Oregon University starting at 1:30 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome. Later the same day, women’s soccer will face off against the College of Idaho at 4 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome.
