What’s happening at UI this week?

As Moscow starts to experience warmer weather and sunny skies, now is the perfect time for Vandal students to get out and enjoy life on campus with friends. The University of Idaho community can check out these exciting events and activities happening this week. 

Etiquette Dinner 

Students can learn how to conduct themselves in professional dining situations this Wednesday with Career Services’ annual Etiquette Dinner. From 5:15-7:30 p.m. in the Pitman International Ballroom, attendees will enjoy a free multi-course meal and instruction on etiquette topics throughout the event. The event is a valuable opportunity to practice professional skills and meet new people. Registration is required and the link to register can be found here

Spring Dance 

This Thursday from 7-9 p.m. in ISUB room 302, students can enjoy a fun night of dancing with Vandal Entertainment’s ‘A Night in SoHo’ Spring Dance. Students are encouraged to wear their best SoHo inspired outfit or get all dressed up in formal attire to spend a night dancing with friends. 

Music and Theater 

From Friday to Sunday, the Idaho Repertory Theatre will be performing “The Meeting”, a play depicting the supposed meeting between Malcom X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The show will be performed in the Forge Theatre, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The show is free for UI students and promises to be a compelling performance. Tickets can be purchased online

The Lionel Hampton School of Music is also presenting a show this weekend, this modern opera titled “Pirates of Penzance” will be showing Friday and Saturday starting at 7:30 p.m. The event is $10 for students and $12 for all others, and tickets can be purchased here

Late Night at the Rec 

The Student Rec Center is hosting a fun late night of mini golf for students to enjoy this Friday from 9-11 p.m. Students can put together a team of 2-4 friends and participate in this nine-hole course, putters, balls and scorecards will be provided, and students can register here

Vandal Athletics 

Men’s Tennis will be competing this Saturday against Northern Arizona University at 10 a.m. at the Kibbie Dome.
