The passing of a University of Idaho junior was announced Thursday by Dean of Students Blaine Eckles.
Originally from Boise, Caden Young was majoring in journalism at UI. Described as an involved student, Young held multiple leadership roles on campus and was a former president of Alpha Kappa Lambda.
“This has understandably been a difficult year for the Vandal Family, with the loss of several students since the start of the academic year last August,” Eckles wrote in the communication. “Please make sure to take care of yourself and others.”
Students impacted and in need of assistance during this time can contact the Counseling and Testing Center at 208-885-6716. Option three can be selected for support on evenings and weekends.
Employees in need can access free and confidential resources through the Employee Assistance Program.
