For a sweet and easy treat to share with friends, these thumbprint cookies take only a few minutes to whip up and are sure to impress. Decorated with a cute heart shape in the center of the cookies, this recipe is perfect for a loving Valentine’s season. 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup butter 
  • ½ cup sugar (plus 1/3 cup for rolling dough in) 
  • 2 eggs 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 2 cups flour 
  • ½ tsp salt 
  • ½ cup jam (any flavor) 

Directions: 

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 

2. Mix together butter and sugar, slowly mix in eggs one at a time 

3. Add vanilla, then mix in flour and salt until combined 

4. Roll dough into small balls and roll in sugar before placing on greased cookie sheet 

5. Use thumbs to press into dough balls and make heart shape 

6. Fill the indentation in cookies with small spoonful of jam 

7. Bake for 10 minutes, let cool and enjoy!
