Moscow Police Department held another press conference Wednesday to clarify information in the case.

While no new information was released about the homicides, the MPD is focused on the investigation, with officers prepped to work through the holiday weekend.

“The loss of Xana, Kaylee, Madison and Ethan remains the highest priority for the Moscow police department,” Captain Roger Lanier of the MPD said. “We will continue putting all of our resources into investigating and solving these murders. Investigators are prepared to work through the Thanksgiving holiday to continue their efforts.”

Authorities have not been able to corroborate the existence of a stalker linked to any of the girls, of which they are still seeking information. MD is also looking into similar cases across the region.

Police also clarified that they do not believe that the man in the GrubTruck footage, the driver who brought the two women home, or the roommates and friends who called 911 are believed to be suspects. The MPD also stated they had no plans to release the audio or transcript of the 911 call at this time, as it is part of the active investigation.

Returning to campus after break, MPD has also said that there will be a “high impact” of patrol officers and troopers on campus to ensure security on campus for the end of the semester.

Blaine Eckles, the dean of students, also provided more information on the upcoming vigil to remember the victims. The vigil will be held Nov. 30, at 5 p.m. on the Admin Lawn. The vigil will also be streamed to allow people from across the state to join.

“The Vandal family’s gonna get out and come together to support the families in their darkest moments of their life,” Eckles said.

Lanier also urged students and community members to be vigilant and look out for each other moving forward.

I keep wondering how the students can fight back and be asleep and why the survivors thought someone couldn't be woke up (not sure their discription) and also if there were any blood trails outside the house.
