Moscow Police Department has issued an update on the King Road homicide, with further details on a potential weapon.

Full autopsies are to be conducted later this week, with preliminary evidence suggesting that an edged weapon, such as a knife, was used.

While officers have not currently found a weapon or suspects, MPD believes this to be an isolated, targeted attack, with no threat to the community.

Latah County Coroner Cathy Mabbutt told the New York Times that the deaths were not a murder-suicide.

The University of Idaho vigil to mourn the victims has been rescheduled to after fall break.

Correction: This article has been edited, as police did not suggest the use of a knife specifically in a conflict.

Too many unanswered questions. Too many things not being said. I have driven past the scene of the crime now twice and am puzzled. To the South of the scene is a hill with single family homes, to the North is a big open field and the Frat/Sorority Houses. How can 4 people be murdered with an edged weapon and no one hear screaming, even if loud music is playing? I am curious to hear what the toxicology reports have to say if drinks were spiked or an over consumption of alcohol was partly responsible. But seriously, how do you not hear 4 people screaming from a sharp weapon...
