UPDATE: Four students have been confirmed dead in Moscow homicide

Nearby UI's campus, four individuals were found dead Sunday

Update – 8:40 p.m.

The four victims are confirmed to be students, MPD Capt. Tyson Berrett told the Statesman.

The Argonaut has been unable to reach the MPD for an update at this time.

Update – 5:30 p.m.

Four individuals have been confirmed dead in Moscow Police Department’s homicide investigation on King Road.  

Police originally responded to a call about an unconscious individual. When they arrived, officers discovered four bodies.  

The investigation is ongoing, with police withholding information until family and friends are notified.

Update – 2:45 p.m.

As of 2:40 p.m., UI has lifted recommendations to shelter in place. The MPD does not believe there is an active threat, but a Vandal Alert reminds individuals to “remain vigilant.”

Initial post – 2:10 p.m.

A homicide is being investigated by the Moscow Police Department at 1122 King Road. No suspects are known at this time. 

The MPD received a call at 11:58 a.m. reporting the homicide, according to Campus Division Capt. Tyson Berrett. Berrett said roommates and individuals in the area are currently being interviewed.  

A Vandal Alert sent around 1 p.m. recommends sheltering in place and avoiding the area. King Road is near campus, branching off Taylor Avenue and located behind the Sigma Chi fraternity.
