Police Logs: Homecoming weekend filled with noise complaints

Friday, Sept. 30 

2:00 a.m. Suspicious Person: A car filled with men were circling the caller on Sweet Avenue and Main Street, barking, screaming and howling at them.   

7:33 a.m. Civil Calls: A person did not pay for the service and left the lot with their car at Hive Repair.  

9:27 a.m. Theft Other: Two batteries were stolen from the caller’s van overnight at the Hope Center. 

11:20 a.m. Traffic Accident: An accident occurred between a motorcycle and a vehicle on Pullman Road.    

12:07 p.m. Suspicious Package: A person brought a bottle filled with an unknown substance to the caller’s place of business on 5th street.  

3:17 p.m. Stray Animals: A caller found a kitten in the bushes at Mountain View Park.    

9:04 p.m. Noise Complaint: A caller can hear a party on A Street, where a woman is explaining on a loudspeaker the rules of a drinking game.  

9:16 p.m. Gunshot Sounds: The caller keeps hearing constant gunshots and screaming outside on Baker Street. Moscow police department determined it was fireworks.  

11:22 p.m. Malicious Mischief: Report of graffiti on one of the buildings on Pullman Road near Winco.  

11:16 p.m. Intoxicated Person: The person was taken to Gritman Medical Center.  

Saturday, Oct. 1 

1:28 a.m. Simple Battery: A caller reported that a bouncer at Mingles was trying to restrain a person after a physical altercation.   

5:00 a.m. Parking Problem: Multiple vehicles needed to be moved for the Farmers’ Market. 

7:08 a.m. Trespassing Complaint: A man using the restroom at the Stinker Station on Pullman Road has stolen from the business. The caller would like him trespassed.   

8:05 a.m. Traffic Violation: Three teenagers were driving a golf cart hazardly on Notting Hill Drive and Hampton Court.   

10:52 a.m. Animal Problem: A caller reported a resident on Baker Street abusing a dog by dragging it across the parking lot and beating it.  

10:56 a.m. Noise Complaint: A dog on Lauder Avenue has been barking for 10 minutes.  

4:23 p.m. Wanted Person: There was a patient at Gritman who had a warrant.  

4:24 p.m. Alcohol Offense: Three men were drinking in a parking lot near Pour Company.  

7:35 p.m. Noise Complaint: An employee at Walmart reported that there are two disorderly subjects trespassing.  

8:23 p.m. Trespassing Complaint: A complaint of a disorderly patron who touched someone inappropriately and got thrown out of the bar.  

Sunday, Oct. 2 

12:13 a.m. Accident Hit and Run: A car crashed into the caller’s vehicle on Linda Lane and left. The caller heard it happen and other witnesses saw the incident.  

12:31 a.m. Noise Complaint: A caller was complaining about a party. Worried about the drinking, drugs and welfare of his friends.  

1:24 a.m. DUI Alcohol: There was a man arrested for DUI on Linda Lane.  

1 a.m. Noise Complaint: There was a large group of 50 people in the alleyway by Subway for the past two hours.  

2:37 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances: The caller can hear people outside of a vacant house on Jefferson Street. They believe that they are trying to break into it. 

9:21 a.m. Civil Call: The caller believes their roommate jammed something into the lock, preventing them from entering the apartment at The Grove. 

12:30 p.m. Animal Problem: A caller found a goat on Almon Street and contained it in a cage.  

2:10 p.m. Alcohol Offense: An officer arrested a man for DUI on 1st Street and Polk Street. 

11:04 p.m. Disorderly Conduct: Two men were outside of John’s Alley trying to start fights with other customers 

11:09 p.m. Simple Battery: Two men with head injuries appear to be intoxicated at Friendship Square.
