A new attachment has been added to Joe’s Corner that will offer mixed soda combinations and energy drink shots.
“We’re just shy of a year,” Associate Director of Multiuse Facilities Stuart Taylor said. “First inceptions have been about a year.”
The opening of the Soda Spout was delayed to supply chain issues, finally opening on Aug. 31.
“If you don’t promise the students a date, you’re not going to disappoint them,” Director of Auxiliary Services John Kosh said. “Because if we had promised them a date, we would have disappointed them on the soda shop which we wanted open on the first day of class.”
Kosh said that they are waiting for some parts to be delivered but can make the mixed drinks by hand in the meantime.
The menu at Soda Spout will feature combination drinks featuring some coke and Pepsi products as well as energy drinks.
“A lot of brainstorming on names and products, and we also got some recipes from other stores and saw what they did and tried to match altogether,” Taylor said. “Then we just took a day just testing recipes and tried to make some adjustments… this is what we came up with.”
