After what was hopefully a restful long weekend, the University of Idaho campus is back in full swing with plenty of exciting events and activities to keep Vandals busy this week.

For anyone feeling stressed out by the semester so far, therapy dogs are back on campus this week. Relax and recharge with some four-legged friends this Tuesday from 4-6 p.m. at the SRC atrium thanks to Palouse Paws.

If interested in getting active and learning new skills this week, the SRC Climbing Center and the Women’s Center are teaming up Wednesday for the Women’s Center Climbing Gym Takeover. From 6-8 p.m., anyone can come and enjoy climbing instruction and activities led by women and designed with women in mind.

On Thursday, the sign ups for many intramural sports have their deadlines, so students can check here on the intramural sports website to see if the sport they are interested in is on the list. There is also the regularly scheduled Thursday market with fresh produce at the Soil Stewards Farm from 3-5 p.m.

Vandals can take advantage of Careers and Coffee this Friday to get advice and ask questions about all things career development related. From 10:30 a.m. to noon in the ISUB ASUI Vandal Lounge, students can chat with career advisors, and learn more about the next steps they can take to grow in their career and field.

UI students also have the opportunity to root on our Vandals Women’s Soccer as they take on the University of Lousiana Friday at 6 p.m. in the Kibbie Dome. And at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the Kibbie Dome as they face off against UC Santa Barbara.

Also happening this Friday is the chance to see a stand-up comedian on campus. From 8-10:30 p.m. in the ICCU Arena, comedian Brian Regan will be performing for the Moscow community. Tickets are discounted for students and employees, starting at $10, and can be purchased online

Lastly, this Friday and Saturday, the Physics department is hosting a star party to celebrate the grand opening of a new telescope at the observatory. From 7-10 p.m. both nights students can come view the night sky and witness the telescope in action with the help of physics faculty and students. The trolley to take participants to the observatory will pick and drop off attendees in front of Wallace, and more information about the event can be found here
