Vandal students have hopefully had a restful Spring Break and are ready for classes and all the exciting events on campus to start up again. There are a lot of fun things on the University of Idaho campus to do this week.

For those interested in supporting and watching the arts, DancersDrummersDreamers is putting on a ‘modern vaudeville’ show this week titled “The Beat Goes On…” that’s sure to be entertaining. This performance, put on by the University of Idaho Dance Program as well as the Lionel Hampton School of Music, combines elements of music, dance, song and even slapstick comedy. Students can attend live performances Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the Hartung Theater, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday March 26 also at the Hartung. Additionally, there is a virtual stream of the event on Sunday March 27 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10, and can be bought online

If you feel like you need to burn off some steam, or maybe are just looking to try something new, the Climbing Center is having another Free Rental Friday this week. Anytime from 12 – 9 p.m. on Friday students can bring their vandal card to the Climbing Center and get free rental of climbing equipment. This is a great opportunity to get active and try climbing if you’ve never got a chance before.

The Outdoor Center is bringing even more adventure to this week with their Potlatch River Rafting Trip on Saturday March 26. This trip allows students to explore the Potlatch River with some exciting whitewater rafting, and you can sign up at the Outdoor Center. The cost is $85 for students and $100 for anyone else who wants to join, and this cost includes transportation and equipment for the trip.
