Although the weather might be a bit gloomy, don’t let the cloudy skies get you down, because this week is filled with so many exciting Vandal events and activities – both on campus and in the community!

To start the week of right, on Tuesday March 1, students can attend the LunaFest Women’s Film festival to watch short films created by independent female filmmakers. This festival is taking place from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center and is free for students to attend. Register online and support the talented women in the film industry.

The lineup continues this Thursday, March 3 with the spring formal event hosted by Vandal Entertainment titled, A Night Under the Stars. Students can dress their best and dance the night away from 7 – 9 p.m. in the International Ballroom in the Pitman Center. This will be a night to remember, so grab some friends and show up Thursday to make some great memories.

An exciting community event to look out for this week is Gifilte Trout hosted by One World Café on Saturday, March 5. This night of Klezmer and other traditional eastern European dance music is happening from 6-8 pm, and along with the music and dancing, there are beer and wine specials and house made sandwiches. Admission is free for everyone, and anyone looking for an exciting and unique way to spend their Saturday night should head on down to One World for this event.

For sports fans, Vandals Men’s Basketball has two games this week. You can cheer on our Vandals Thursday at 6 p.m. in the ICCU Arena as they go up against Portland State and again on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the ICCU Arena when they will play Northern Arizona University.
