Vandal Students have a busy week to look forward to, with lots of great opportunities and events to take advantage of. Keep an eye out for these activities going on across campus this week.

The Spring Career fair will be taking place on Wednesday February 9th from 2-6 pm in the Kibbie Dome. There will be 90 organizations and potential employers at the event looking to recruit UI students for full and part time jobs, internships, seasonal positions, and grad school opportunities. Students of any major and year level are encouraged to attend, and this is a valuable opportunity to meet potential employers and advance your desired career.

There are several opportunities provided to help students feel confident and present their best selves to the organizations at the fair. One such being the Resume Rush for the Career Fair happening on Monday and Tuesday in the Vandal Success Center from 8 am – 5 pm. Students can bring their resumes to the Center on the ISUB 3rd floor to have them reviewed, along with tips on how to make a good first impression to interviewers. Take advantage of this resource to get an extra confidence boost before attending the career fair on Wednesday.

It is also ‘Safe is Sexy’ week on campus here at UI. Monday through Friday there will be opportunities to learn about safe sex practices and improving sexual health – check out the schedule to find an event you want to attend.

Lastly, for anyone interested in supporting Vandal athletics – both the men’s and women’s basketball teams are competing this week. Monday at 6pm in the Idaho Central Credit Union Arena the women’s team will be playing against Montana State. Thursday, Men’s Basketball is up against Idaho State at 6 p.m. in the ICCU Arena. And the men play again on Saturday against Weber State at 2 p.m.
