Crumbs: Honey Walnut Shrimp

Honey Walnut Shrimp | Bailey Brockett | Argonaut

It’s easy to gravitate towards fast food and eating out, especially when you get busy, but it starts to add up. If you’re ever craving Panda Express, but have already met your quota for eating out for the week, here is a copycat recipe to their honey walnut shrimp that you can pair with rice and your favorite veggies.

Prep time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

20 medium, cooked frozen shrimp

Sprinkle of red pepper flakes

Sprinkle of garlic powder

Chopped walnuts

Olive oil

2 tablespoons of honey

¼ cup mayonnaise

½ teaspoon of chili garlic sauce

Instructions:

  1. Thaw shrimp under running water.
  2. Add a large skillet to stove on medium heat.
  3. Mix red pepper flakes, garlic powder, honey, mayo and chili garlic sauce in a bowl.
  4. Coat skillet in olive oil.
  5. Add shrimp and chopped walnuts to skillet. Cook until shrimp have reduced in size and both shrimp and walnuts are toasted.
  6. Add sauce to skillet and mix.
  7. Serve over rice and veggies. Enjoy!
