We are thrilled to welcome you to the University of Idaho this fall. We are all looking forward to returning to a normal way of learning, living and interacting. It is the vibrant community connections that makes being a Vandal so special.

I know I valued my time as an undergraduate at the UI. The lessons, experiences and friendships prepared me well for a successful career—just as I know they will for you. I like to reinforce that a college education is proven to make us healthier, wealthier and wiser. Being a Vandal on top of that is an added bonus.

There are so many things to look forward to this fall. I am excited for football in the Kibbie Dome, and the return of Vandal Marching Band. Also, the ICCU Arena opens in October, in time for Vandal basketball and other exciting student-focused events. I encourage you to participate in all the events and activities you can. This is a perfect time to try something new.

I am ready to welcome each of you, whether you are new to our Vandal family or continuing your journey. It’s always a great time to be Vandal, but this fall it seems even more so.

Go Vandals!

President Scott Green, ‘84
